Yes. This course combines the American Red Cross Babysitter Training program with Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid certification.
This class uses the American Red Cross blended learning format. Students complete approximately 2-3 hours of online learning before class, followed by one in person training session where they practice skills and demonstrate competency.
Most students complete the online portion in approximately 2 hours. Some students may take closer to three hours depending on their pace. The course may be completed over multiple sittings.
The online learning must be completed 3 business days before the in person class. The exact due date is included in your welcome email so there is plenty of time to troubleshoot any technical issues before class.
A desktop or laptop computer is strongly recommended. While phones and tablets sometimes work, they are more likely to experience issues with saving progress.
Please contact us if you have questions. If there is a technical issue within the Red Cross Learning Center, I can also direct you to American Red Cross Technical Support.
Do parents need to stay during class?
No. Parents are welcome to drop students off and return to pick them up at the end of class.
If you'd prefer to remain nearby, you're welcome to stay on site while class is in session. Whenever possible, I choose venues that offer comfortable seating areas for parents outside the classroom. Specific venue amenities and arrival information will be included in your welcome email.
