Learning how to respond in an emergency is a life skill.
Pasco CPR & First Aid Training offers engaging, hands on CPR, First Aid, babysitter and safety education for homeschool students and families. Students can join one of our open enrollment classes or homeschool groups and co ops can request private on site training tailored to their group.
Step Up For Students families are welcome! Many eligible classes are available through the Step Up For Students EMA marketplace.
Whether your student is learning basic emergency preparedness for the first time, preparing to babysit independently, or is ready to earn a CPR certification, we offer programs for different ages and skill levels.
Older students can learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies, choking, injuries and other common emergencies while earning a nationally recognized certification when applicable.
Our classes emphasize hands on practice and real world scenarios so students aren't simply memorizing steps. They're learning how to respond confidently when someone needs help.
Great for:
• Teens preparing for jobs or volunteer opportunities
• Babysitters and caregivers
• Older siblings
• Students interested in healthcare, childcare, lifeguarding or public safety
• Families who simply want their children prepared for emergencies
Babysitting is about much more than entertaining children.
Our babysitter training helps students develop the skills and confidence they need to care for children safely and responsibly. Depending on the class selected, students may learn about child care, safety, emergency preparedness, basic First Aid, business basics and how to handle common situations they may encounter while babysitting.
Babysitter Training can also be combined with CPR, AED and First Aid training for students who want even more comprehensive preparation.
Practical emergency preparedness designed specifically for younger learners.
Rescue Ready Kids is an interactive safety program designed for children ages 7–10. Students learn age appropriate skills that can help them recognize an emergency, get help quickly, and know what to do while waiting for an adult or first responders.
This is not a CPR certification course. Instead, the focus is on building confidence, emergency awareness, and practical life skills in a fun, hands on environment.
A compact version that introduces children to essential emergency preparedness skills. This option works especially well for homeschool co ops, enrichment programs, club days, and groups working within a shorter class period.
Our full Rescue Ready Kids experience provides additional time for hands on practice, discussion, activities, and emergency scenarios. The extended format gives students more opportunities to practice what they have learned and build confidence responding to different situations.
Rescue Ready Kids can be brought directly to your homeschool co op, enrichment program, microschool, or homeschool group. Private group sessions can be scheduled based on your group's needs and available space.

Students participate in hands on activities and practical skill development designed to build confidence and emergency preparedness.
Safety skills are learned by doing. Students have opportunities to practice skills rather than simply watching a presentation.
CPR, First Aid and emergency preparedness are skills students can carry with them into adulthood.
Smaller classes allow students to ask questions, practice skills and receive feedback from an instructor.
From introductory youth safety education to nationally recognized certification courses, students can continue building their skills as they grow.
We serve homeschool families, co ops and organizations throughout Pasco County and surrounding Tampa Bay communities, including Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Odessa, Trinity and nearby areas.

Students enrolled in a certification course who successfully complete all course requirements receive the applicable certification. Not all youth safety programs are certification courses, so the individual class description will indicate whether certification is included.
Age recommendations vary by program. Younger students can participate in age appropriate youth safety and emergency preparedness programs, while CPR certification and babysitter programs require students to be developmentally and physically capable of completing the required skills.
