This training course includes American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training only. This course does NOT include CPR/AED/First Aid. If you are interested in getting fully certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, we recommend you take one of our CPR/AED/First Aid certification courses seperately.

Recommended Ages: 11 to 15
Course Investment: $95 per student
Students will learn how to safely and responsibly care for infants and children while developing the confidence needed to begin babysitting.
Training includes topics such as:
✓ Babysitter responsibilities and professionalism
✓ Preparing for a babysitting job
✓ Communicating with parents and gathering important information
✓ Keeping children safe and supervising effectively
✓ Caring for infants and children
✓ Diapering and basic infant care
✓ Bottle preparation, feeding, and burping
✓ Age appropriate activities and play
✓ Managing common behaviors and challenging situations
✓ Recognizing and responding to emergencies
✓ Making responsible decisions when caring for children
✓ Basic business skills for beginning a babysitting business
Students will have opportunities to practice skills, participate in scenarios, ask questions, and work through situations they may encounter while babysitting.
Students who successfully complete all required components will receive:
American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Certification (valid for 10 years)
This course is designed for pre teens and teens ages 11 to 15 who want to develop the skills and confidence needed to babysit safely and responsibly.
Because this packs training into one day, it is especially well suited for students who:
✓ Enjoy interactive and hands on learning
✓ Are comfortable with a longer in person learning day
✓ Want plenty of opportunities to practice skills with an instructor
